DO YOU consider yourself a good cook?

Then Monday, March, 26 is the day for you to pit your skills against those of the renowned CWA cooks when the annual Land Cookery, Handicraft and Art Day of the Far South Coast Group of the Country Women’s Association is held in Moruya CWA Rooms.

Details of cooking schedules are available from your local CWA branch.

Remember, all entries must be presented in an oven bag.

In addition, all branches throughout the Group will be taking their best handicraft items, covering a wide range of skills, for judging, making a truly interesting display.

The day is also a showcase for the many talented artists within the Group.

Members are invited to take items for exhibition in any medium – oil, watercolour, pastel, pencil, pen and ink, china painting (bring your own display stand), porcelain art, painting on glass, leadlight.

Winner in this section will be selected by popular choice.

All entries to be submitted by 9am – judges will give an appraisal of entries in each section when winners are announced at 2pm.

The art exhibition will be open to the public from 10am; cooking and handicraft when judging is completed.

Don’t forget to keep your cameras clicking to make sure you have some good entries for the photographic competition, open to members and non-members.

The subjects are: A Quiet Street; Still Life; An Arch/Archway; for juniors – Fishing, Passing Parade.
