THE Far South Coast Rugby Union Zone Competition kicked off on Saturday, April 21, with six teams in the competition.

Results of games played in Rounds 1 and 2 are:

Round 1 – (April 21): Bermagui-Cobargo 5 points against Bateman’s Bay 2-0; Bateman’s Bay 22 points against Broulee 5 points; Vincentia 8 points against Braidwood 3 points.

Round 2 – (April 28): Braidwood 22 points against Broulee 13 points (The game was played at Braidwood with a number of the ACT Brumbies on the sideline to watch). Bateman’s Bay 29 points against Bermagui-Cobargo 9 points (the game was played at Shark Park, Bermagui). Both Vincentia and Bateman’s Bay 2 had a bye.

Two games will be played in the third round of the competition on Saturday, May 5. Both games will be played at Hanging Rock Oval, Bateman’s Bay.

Bateman’s Bay 2 v Vincentia, kick off at 1.30pm and the replay of the 2000 Grand Final sees Bateman’s Bay v Braidwood kick off at 3.00pm.

Teams with a bye are Broulee and Bermagui-Cobargo.

The fourth round of the competition will be held on Saturday, May 12, with the following games to be played:

Vincentia verses Bermagui-Cobargo to be played at Vincentia; Broulee verses Bateman’s Bay 2 to be played at Broulee; Both Bateman’s Bay and Braidwood have the bye.

Competition Points up to and including Round 2 are: Bateman’s Bay 9, Vincentia 8, Braidwood 6, Bateman’s Bay-2 5, Bermagui-Cobargo 4, Broulee 0.
